AUTRA Race Report 25-9-2026

Trail Blaze, WA

Trail Blaze, hosted by Soul Runners, was held at Wungong Regional Park in Bedfordale in WA on 29 August, 2026. Participants got the opportunity to participate in a 15km (46 finishers), 10km (36 finishers) or 5km (45 finishers).

In the Women’s Gutsy Goat 15km, top spots went to Petra Jerejan (1:26:20), Celine Guelton (1:30:21) and Stacey Dorn (1:33:44). Winners in the Men’s Gutsy Goat 15km were Alan Stabler (1:16:46), Vincent Le Daniel (1:17:30) and Niall Dixon (1:22:03).

In the Women’s Dingo Dash 10km, winners were Grethe de Vries (1:09:43), Zara van der Laan (1:17:56) and Charlotte Steenhoff (1:17:57). In the Men’s Dingo Dash 10km, top spots were awarded to Declan Gunnink (56:03), Corey Slobe (59:21) and Arran Gunnink (59:21).

Winners in the Women’s Possum Path 5km were Sylvia Diep (26:27), Lucille de Vries (27:32) and Stephanie Smith (28:18). In the Men’s Possum Path 5km, the winners were Nick Moore (22:01), Nathan Gunnink (23:28) and Brayden van der Laan (24:02).

Lighthorse Ultra, WA

Hosted by Ultra Series, the Lighthorse Ultra was held on the weekend 5-6 September at Perry’s Paddock in Woodvale, WA offering hourly races of 24hrs (162 finishers), 12 hrs (39 finishers), 6hrs (54 finishers) and 3hrs.
First Female in the Women’s 24hr was AUTRA’s very own Dionette Sakova, who completed a total of 203.440km in the allotted time. Bekka Staal (181.115km) and Jacynta Webster (176.631km) took 2^nd and 3^rd.

First Male in the Men’s 24hr was AUTRA member Shane Aris, who finished with a total distance of 219.989km. Second and 3^rd went to Tomas Radonic 213.286km and Milan Kucera (200.845km).

In the Women’s 12hr, top spots were awarded to Kara Dougan (117.720km), Kate Burton (83.022km) and Juliet King (80.380km). Winners in the Men’s 12hr were Corey Drew (105.750km), Nathan Warner (95.792km) and Ravshanbek Utamuratov (92.412km).

Winners in the Women’s 6hr were Genevieve Warriner (70.280km), Claire Slater (66.380km) and Gemma Ansell (63.765km). In the Men’s 6hr, top spots went to Jack Ball (72.431km), Tom Jenkins (65.802km) and Geoffrey Zarins (64.990km).

In the Women’s 3hr, the winners were Georga Baldock (36.860), Heather Longworth (32.193km) and Vicky Bryant (31.463km). For the Men’s 3hr, winners were named Jason Keenehan (42.113km), Luke Ingham (37.081km) and Travis Kemsley (35.599km).

3 Valleys Runningworks Marathon, WA

The 3 Valleys Runningworks Marathon was held on 6 September, 2026 at the Bickley Outdoor Recreation Camp in WA, and offered a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and Team Relay.

In the Men’s Marathon, top spots went to Oleg Puzanov (3:48:38), Joshua Dorn (3:58:27) and David White (4:08:56).

Winners in the Women’s Marathon were Petra Jerejian (4:15:07), Shannon Snit (5:26:56) and Emily Cheng (6:20:15).

In the Men’s Half Marathon, winners were Scott Biffen (1:45:15), Alan Stabler (1:46:05), while winners in the Women’s Half Marathon were Jess Reynolds (1:54:21), Jennifer Palermo (2:05:28) and Brenda Almstrom (2:06:39).

Hounslow Classic, NSW

The Hounslow Classic, hosted by Single Track Events, was held from 11-13 September in Blackheath, NSW and offered participants distances of 42km and 17km.

In the Men’s 42km, AUTRA’s Mike Carroll took 1^st Male with a time of 4:36:38. Second and 3^rd Male spots went to Piotr Babis (4:53:41) and Blake Abbott (4:54:32).

Winners in the Women’s 42km were Julia Anderson (5:13:53), Brittany Harriden (5:40:02) and Alice Schacher (5:41:09).

In the Men’s 17km, top spots went to Leo Peterson (1:28:18), James Barnett (1:29:22) and David Vernon (1:29:51). In the Women’s 17km winners were Bridget Lunn (1:50:55), Sophie Brown (1:54:01) and Beatriz O’Gilvie (1:54:52).

Surf Coast Century, Vic

The much anticipated Surf Coast Century in Vic was held on 12 September in Anglesea, offering runners distances of 100km (258 finishers) and 50km (279 finishers).

In the Men’s 100km, AUTRA member Josh Goding secured 1^st Male with a time of 8:52:28. Second and 3^rd male were awarded to Daniel Robson (9:34:27) and James Pretto (9:41:10) respectively.

Winners in the Women’s 100km were Meluka Bancroft (10:15:59), Sophie Caldwell (10:53:07) and Jade Bucklow (10:58:31).

Congratulations to our members who completed the 100km distance, including Gill Fowler (11:05:02), Stuart Hughes (11:50:18), Beck Hefferon (11:58:35), Kath Judge (12:34:11), Rohan Ashton (12:45:54), Andrew Jackson (12:46:08), Ella Clark (12:59:09), Emma-Rose Maber (13:11:23), Mario Buchs (13:49:42) and Doug Bartlett (14:12:10).

Winners in the Men’s 50km were Tian-Ming Wyithe (4:07:05), Levi Hauwert (4:24:24) and Tobias Fletcher (4:37:08).

First Female in the Women’s 50km was Nicole Virant (4:39:28) whilst 2^nd Female was awarded to AUTRA’s very own Greta Truscott who crossed the finish line in 4:45:23. Third was awarded to Martine Botha (4:57:15).

Well done to our members who completed the 50km distance, including Brett Kennedy (4:59:15), Ewan Horsburgh (5:04:53) and Brooke Penny (8:00:02).

Backyard Everest, SA

The inaugural Backyard Everest, hosted by Ultra Series, was held from 12-13 September at Black Hill Conservation Park in Athlestone, Adelaide, SA.

The concept of this event is runners taking on 5.3km loop with 369m of vert every hour, building elevation lap by lap to conquer the height of Mt Everest in 24 hours.

The first ever winner of the Backyard Everest was Matthew Larsen, who finished a total of 24 laps (8848m).

Congratulations to our members who ran in the Backyard Everest, including Andrew Nugteren (10 laps/3726m), Geoffrey Langhans (8 laps/2583m) and Andrew Hunter (3 laps/1085m).

Lap The Valley Backyard, Qld

Lap the Valley Backyard Ultra took place from 12-14 September at the Boyne Valley Community Discovery Centre in Ubobo, Qld.

This year’s LOS was Rhys Williams who completed a total of 34 laps (228.004km).

Hollie Shield was the Assist with 33 laps (221.298km).

Congratulations to our member Samuel Grey who secured 15 laps, or a total of 107.296km.

Pilliga Ultra, NSW

The Pilliga Ultra, hosted by For Wild Places, was held from 18-20 September in Coonabarabran, NSW and offered distances of 50km (58 finishers), 20km and 10km as well as a Grand Slam.

In the Women’s 50km, AUTRA’s very own Olivia Hulbert claimed 1^st Female with a time of 6:33:18. Second and 3^rd Female were awarded to Bec Cook (6:43:19) and Elanor Finch (7:01:14) respectively.

Winners in the Men’s 50km were Ryan McKernan (5:49:35), Calumn Hockey (5:53:48) and Jack Carroll (6:03:25).

Winner in the Non-Binary 50km was Riley Brooke with 8:17:36.

In the Women’s 20km, top spots went to AUTRA’s Olivia Hulbert (2:17:23), Sophie Weaver (2:20:39) and Laura Martin (2:26:09).

In the Men’s 20km, the winners were Calumn Hockey (1:57:28), Ryan McKernan (2:01:03) and Harry Pye (2:07:53).

Riley Brooke was the winner of the Non-Binary 20km with a finish time of 3:19:17.

In the Women’s 10km, podium finishing spots went to AUTRA’s Olivia Hulbert (58:38), Molly Jones (1:02:45) and Bec Cook (1:02:51).

Winners in the Men’s 10km were Ryan McKernan (50:54), Nik Adamson (51:08) and Ben Whyte (54:57).

Winners in the Non-Binary 10km were Ezra Keeley (1:05:28), Riley Brooke (1:08:22) and Amelia Klein (2:21:40).

In the Women’s Grand Slam, the winners were Olivia Hulbert (9:49:20), Bec Cook (10:20:13) and Pia O’Connor (10:50:14). Men’s Grand Slam winners were Ryan McKernan (8:41:32), Calumn Hockey (8:47:56) and Lonnie Stone (10:17:06). Non-Binary Grand Slam winner was Riley Brooke (12:45:15).

Trail Run Australia Port Stephens Stage Race, NSW

Australia’s newest trail stage run hosted by In2Adventure, the Trail Run Australia Port Stephens Stage Race, was held from 19-20 September in Fingal Bay, NSW and offered a variety of distances including 57km (15 finishers), 42km (13 finishers), 24km (23 finishers) and 12km (9 finishers).

In the Men’s 57km, top finishers were Matt Morgan (4:44:13), Hugh Carwardine (2:08:19) and Nathan Fallowfield (6:05:55).

Winners in the Women’s 57km were Kylie Murray (6:02:17), Rachel Perrins (6:23:23) and Merlene Dilger (7:41:46).

Well done to our member Karl Phillips who finished the 57km in a great time of 8:02:55.

In the Men’s 42km, top spots went to Ben Kidner (4:30:33), Ethan Hogan (4:31:56) and William Barnett (4:34:57); winners in the Women’s 42km were Elena Stephenson (4:06:54), Susie Ellis (4:57:34) and Ruth Mueller (5:03:25).

Top spots in the Men’s 24km went to Harrison Grubits (2:07:16), Troy Watson (2:15:32) and Paul Andoniadis (2:15:52), while winners in the Women’s 24km were Amber Morgan (2:38:31), Fiona Leyden (2:56:33) and Genelle Baldwin (3:01:37).

In the Men’s 6km, winners were Ben Hanley (1:13:14), Sebastian McAdam (1:25:28) and Istvan Grubits (1:29:41); winners for the Women’s 6km were Jen Grubits (1:42:10), Lynelle Watson (1:47:32) and Genevieve McAdam (1:48:52).

Great North Walk Trail Running Festival, NSW

The Great North Walk Trail Running Festival was held Sunday, 20 September in the Central Coast of NSW, along Patonga Beach, and offered participants distances of 50km (98 finishers), 30km and 10km.

In the Women’s 50km, 1st Female went to Claire Robertson (5:55:57) while 2nd was awarded to AUTRA’s Anna Pillinger who crossed the finish line in 6:13:09. Kristy Janszen took 3rd (7:29:31).

In the Men’s 50km, top spots went to Luke Townsend (5:04:20), Matt Thompson (5:27:53) and Oscar Evans (5:40:14).

Congratulations to our members who ran in the 50km, including Ramiro Lopez Pena (6:44:07), James Dennett (7:41:19) and David Campbell (8:19:32).

In the Women’s 30km, the winners were Nicola Gilkes (3:08:14), Jaime Bell (3:14:32) and Annette Henderson (3:14:35). Winners in the Men’s 30km were John Dineen-Griffin (2:28:14), Andy Coughlan (2:32:40) and Simon Coughlan (2:33:40).

Top spots in the Women’s 10km were awarded to Hannah Veen (52:12), Emmalie Hunt (53:52) and Kerrie Simpson (53:40), while for the Men’s 10km, winners were Ben McInerney (44:22), Aidan Ryan (45:57) and Ben Mineo (50:30).

Griffith Sport Toohey Trail Run, Qld

The Griffith Sport Toohey Trail Run was held on 20 September at the Griffith University Nathan campus and Toohey Forest and offered 21km, 10km and 5km distances for runners.

Winners in the Men’s 21km were Ethan Pham (1:23:06), Hyunwoong Hwang (1:27:27) and Jake Hogendoorn (1:27:35); winners in the Women’s 21km were Jane Hoskin (1:34:14), Sophie Perisce (1:43:12) and Julie Curnow (1:45:51).

In the Men’s 10km, top spots went to Matthew McNamara (41:45), Zak O’Neill (42:37) and Iain MacDonald (43:35), whilst winners in the Women’s 10km were Jess Matthews (48:01), Jess Sammon (48:28) and Amy Hamilton-Jones (48:46).

Winners in the Men’s 5km were Lachlan Heeks (19:09), Marc Lau (20:38) and Kerry Chan (20:39). In the Women’s 5km, podium finishes went to Katelyn Chong (22:35), Eloise Gofton (22:55) and Lilly-Rose Waara (23:58).

Labillardiere Trail Run, Tas

TheLabillardiere Trail Run, new to the AUTRA calendar, was held on 20 September at Jetty Beach, Bruny Island in Tasmania, and offered a 17.6km distance for participants.

In the Men’s 17.6km, top spots were awarded to Ryder Jamson (1:16:40), Nathaniel Jackson (1:25:31) and Harrison Garlick (1:26:08).

Winners in the Women’s 17.6km were Kath Prescott (1:39:31), Mesika Kolder (1:46:09) and Melissa Robertson (1:46:12).
