IMPORTANT AURA VOLUNTEER ROLES AVAILABLE

IMPORTANT AURA VOLUNTEER ROLES AVAILABLE

Kate Dzienis • February 28, 2018

AURA is looking for two volunteers to take on vital roles within the organisation. Without volunteers, AURA would cease to exist, so if you’re looking for a way to give back to the ultra running community, we would love to hear from you.

Australian Team Manager (non travelling):
The Team Manager role is integral to the success of Australian teams representing Australia at world and regional championships. On a high level, the Team Manager (non travelling) takes care of all team preparations prior to events, including organisation of team uniforms, liaison with IAU regarding entries and accommodation, preparation of budgets, payments etc. Typically AURA has two to three team attending championships a year who would benefit from someone with a keen administrative eye managing the preparations.

Membership Coordinator:
Responsible for membership efforts and reporting directly to the AURA Committee, the role is focused on membership retention and assuring that each member’s relationship with AURA starts out positively as soon as their membership starts. The role will include reviewing and developing membership reports from our database and developing communications to members about their membership status. We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who is keen to see AURA grow, enjoys promoting the organisation, and wants to give back to the community.
