Expression of Interest: Volunteer Digital Communications Co-ordinator
EOI NOW OPEN – VOLUNTEER DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

AUTRA is looking for a passionate and organised volunteer to join our team as our Digital Communications Coordinator.
Following feedback through our 2025 and 2026 community surveys, we're working to strengthen how AUTRA communicates with our members and the wider trail, ultra and mountain running community – including a stronger social media presence, a more up-to-date website and more regular member communications.
This new volunteer role will work alongside AUTRA's Marketing Coordinator, Committee, State Representatives and wider volunteer network to help bring our communications to life.
What will you do?
Read the full EOI here.
The role will focus on:
- Scheduling and publishing content across AUTRA's Facebook and Instagram.
- Promoting AUTRA news, events, National Championships, national teams and member stories.
- Supporting social media coverage around events.
- Maintaining and updating general information across the AUTRA website.
- Keeping our Events Calendar and other online information current.
- Formatting and scheduling AUTRA's fortnightly member update.
- Creating simple graphics in Canva where required.
- Helping us improve our digital presence and grow engagement with the running community.
Importantly, you won't be expected to create everything yourself. You'll be part of a wider communications network, working with our Communications & Content Coordinator and contributors from across AUTRA.
Who are we looking for?
You don't need to be a communications expert.
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, enjoys social media and digital communication and has a genuine interest in trail, ultra or mountain running.
Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Canva, websites or WordPress would be useful, but isn't essential.
The role is expected to take approximately 3–5 hours per week, with some additional involvement around major events where practical.
Interested?
- Keep it simple.
- Email vp@autra.asn.au with a short introduction, why you're interested, any relevant experience or skills and your approximate availability.
- No formal CV is required.
Applications close Sunday 4 October 2026.
Help us tell the stories of Australia's trail, ultra and mountain running community.
