WEEKLY NEWS REPORT FOR 12-3-2026

As always, we're continuously on the hunt for your stories and reports, so get those race reports and photographs in to ultramag@autra.asn.au with the following information:

Word document, single spaced
Include the name of the event, the date and the location anywhere in the report (just a bullet point at the top is great)
Please attach photographs to the email – do not put images in the body of your Word doc. You’ll just get me emailing you back asking for the photos sent in the correct way!
As many photos as possible. With our new website, it’s now easier than ever to include a nice gallery in each race report

And remember, it doesn’t have to be about an AUTRA-listed event specifically! You just have to be an AUTRA member for the 2026 year. Runningworks Lark Hill

The Runningworks Lark Hill Party Ultra was held on Saturday, 28 February 2026 and offered distances of 50mi (3 finishers), 50km (17 finishers), 25km (47 finishers), 8km (32 finishers) and a Kids 3km. There was also a Mega Multi-Stage Rager with 8 finishers.

In the Women’s 50mi, Petra Jerejian claimed 1st Female (7:43:57).

In the Men’s 50mi, podium spots went to Dale Gordon (8:10:32) and Nathan Metcalf (9:20:08).

In the Women’s 50km, the winners were named Holly Taylor (5:03:39), Maya Albracht (5:22:53) and Evonne Porteous (6:29:00).

In the Men’s 50km, 1st Male was won by Paul Rickard (4:31:04) while 2nd Male was claimed by AUTRA’s Ben Wilson who crossed the finish line in 4:48:56. Peter Morris secured 3rd (5:31:17).

In the Women’s 25km, top spots went to Danielle Halliday (2:08:46), Christella Taylor (2:09:21) and Karen Kostas (2:14:03).

Winners in the Men’s 25km were Stuart Leek (2:03:24), Charles Bosveld (2:04:05) and Michael Kazich (2:06:52).

In the Women’s 8km, the winners were named Ebony Regan (35:11), Bron Larner (41:28) and Gail James (48:02).

For the Men’s 8km, top spots went to Riley Kerr (30:49), Nick Moore (33:00) and Noah Jowsey (33:42).

In the Women’s Mega Multi-Stage Rager, podium positions were awarded to Lee Anne Flugel (8:28:14) and Chelsea Toplis (8:50:35).

In the Men’s Mega Multi-Stage Rager, the winners were Scott Tamblin (8:15:14), Jay McDonnell (8:19:14) and Jude Burleigh (8:31:58).

Belair Marathon, SA

The Belair Marathon was held Sunday, 1 March 2026 in Belair National Park and was hosted by Ultra Series SA, offering distances of 50km (84 finishers), 42km (25 finishers), 21km (104 finishers), 10km (63 finishers) and 5km (14 finishers).

Winners in the Men’s 50km were David Williams (4:56:21), Bradley Paech (5:02:56) and Brodie Hudd (5:08:03).

Winners in the Women’s 50km were Sarah Melville (5:26:29), Clara Morf (5:42:51) and Kelsa Reign (6:08:00).

Congratulations to all our members who ran in the 50km, including Gerardo Jose Guerrero Ruiz who finished in 8:38:26.

In the Men’s Marathon, the winners were Godfrey Slattery (3:36:49), Cooper Hough (4:13:41) and Mark Long (4:14:09).

In the Women’s Marathon, they were Morgane Autret (5:51:18), Kelly Karakurt (6:16:47) and Mia Hansen (6:18:57).

In the Men’s Half Marathon, the winners were named Ziggy King (1:38:27), Rurik Symon (1:44:24) and Ethan Brooks (1:47:27).

Winners in the Women’s Half Marathon were Vanesa Tomatis (1:59:12), Alice Matchett (2:11:52) and Kate Staniford (2:18:49).

Onto the Men’s 5km, and podium spots went to Oliver Staniford (27:36), Soren Petrie (28:40) and Fletcher Staniford (29:32), whilst for the Women’s 5km the winners were Anna Pearce (27:44), Indiah Staniford (29:52) and Scarlett Wood (34:14).

Mirrim Wurnit Back Paddock Ultra, Vic

The Mirrim Wurnit Back Paddock Ultra was held on Saturday, 7 March 2026 at The Farm, Monegeetta, Vic.

There were 19 starters at this LOS event, and the winner was crowned Aidan Moore who completed a total of 21 yards/laps, a course PB for this particular event.

The Assist for 2026 was Christy Lambert, who finished with 20 yards/laps.

Congratulations to our members who raced in the Mirrim Wurnit Back Paddock Ultra, including Julie Steele (16 yards/4th Overall and 2nd Female) and Peter Munns (2 yards).
