The Event
The GUMBY, GumBABY and GumbyMOON will take place in the Brindabella Ranges to the west of Canberra. The event promises a vibrant community atmosphere for runners and supporters while camping at the historic Blue Range Hut.

The races are organised by ULTRA Mediocre Runners of Canberra Incorporated, a not for profit sports club furthering the sport of ultrarunning in Canberra and surrounds.

The Races
The GumbyMOON is a four-lap twilight journey on Friday. 26.8km under the stars. Perfect for dipping your toes in the cosmic ocean of LOS running. First one back on lap 4 is the star child.

The Great Ultra Mediocre Back Yarder (The GUMBY) kicks off on Saturday morning. It's a heavy scene, man - a 6.7km loop every hour until only one cat is left standing. Everyone else gets a DNF, but that's cool too. We'll be groovin' all night and pushing through the next day towards a GUMBY Gold nirvana. If you can't hang with the GUMBY, you'll get a Quitters Bitter and a groovy keepsake. Plus, you get to be trip out on the famous Quitters Ceremony. It's a gas!

The GumBABY is an 8-lap trip starting Sunday morning. That's 53.6km of good vibes. The first soul across the line on lap 8 takes the daisy chain crown.

NEW FOR 2026 - The GUMBYGUMBO - Dig this combo, man! It's the ultimate multi-day trip for those seeking enlightenment (and 100 miles).

Friday: Run the 4 laps of the GumbyMOON.
Saturday: Run 12 laps of the GUMBY.
Sunday: Run the 8 laps of the GumBaby.
That's 24 loops total. 100 miles of peace, love, and trails. Finish it all and claim your 100 mile weekend badge of honor. It's the same price as the standard GUMBY with three finish lines for the price of a statistically probable dropout. Which will be your transcentendental quest?
