2025 IAU 24-Hour World Championships – Applications Now Open

Applications for the 24 Hour World Championships are now open

The 24 Hour World Championships is the purest test of endurance, where physical strength meets mental grit and every step forward is a decision made with purpose. On October 18–19, 2025, the world’s best ultra athletes will converge on Albi, France. For a select group of Australians, this will be the ultimate chance to wear the green and gold and race with pride, heart, and resilience.

Whether you’ve been building towards this for years or have recently broken through to a new level, this is your moment to step up, stand tall, and be part of something bigger.

Applications are now open for AUTRA Members wishing to be considered for selection to the Australian 24 Hour Team.

Please refer to the documents below for full details:

Applications close: 8:00 PM AEST, Monday 7 July 2025

Team announcement: Tuesday 15 July 2025

For any questions regarding the event, the selection criteria or application process, please email: gary.mullins@autra.asn.au

Representing your country is an honour few get to experience. I wish every applicant the very best as we move toward selecting a team that embodies the spirit, strength, and unity of Australian ultra and trail running.

Yours in running,

Gary Mullins
