2023 AURA POINTS COMPETITION — WE’RE ALMOST THERE
As 2023 draws to a close, so too does the 2023 AURA Membership Points Competition
At the time of writing, there are just three remaining AURA-listed events to be processed for the annual points competition (6 Inch, Bruny Island & UTK50km). Interim results have been published regularly through the year on the Points Competition page, with the latest update covering all events for the year except for those just mentioned.
Did you volunteer at an ultra running event in 2023? If you did, THANK YOU! Without the thousands of hours volunteered each and every year, many of the events on the Australian circuit could not be held. The AURA Points Competition recognises member volunteer contributions by counting each for two points, to a maximum of 20 (i.e. 10 events) – to register your volunteer contributions, please submit the form here by no later than 6 January 2024.
2023 has been a phenomenal year for ultra running, with AURA listing 100 events! This means there has been a huge amount of data to collect and process, and there will no doubt be some errors or name mis-matches in the system. To ensure accuracy of results, please take a few minutes to review your results so far under the 2023 tab on the Points Comp page here. If you spot any errors, ommissions or have questions, please contact Alexis Oosterhoff via email at results@aura.asn.au
To find out more about the Points Competition, please see the FAQ and competition details here.
A provisional set of results will be available second week of January 2024, after which you should receive one final email to cross-check your data. We will announce the final winners in the second half of January.
