YURREBILLA 56 KM ULTRA

Taking in some of Adelaide’s most stunning trails, which are deceptively close to the CBD, the Yurrebilla 56km Ultra took was held on Sunday, 24 September.

AURA’s own Oowan Davies led the men’s race, finishing in a time of 5:00:29. He was followed by John Csongei in 5:17:00 and AURA member Nick Muxlow in 5:35:07.

Leading the ladies home was Lauren Rooke with 6:13:58, followed by Emily Sorensen on 6:46:11 and Sarah Melvile with 6:50:27.

Congratulations to AURA members for completing this race. That includes Briony Weckert, Ronnette Davies, Tamas Lorincz, Barry McBride and Joel Williams.

DUVAL DAM BUSTER TRAIL RUN

 Trail runners lined up for a series of events on Sunday, 24 September in NSW’s beautiful New England region. The Hendo Hustle Ultra was the 50km option.

The men’s 50km race was won by Luke Murray with a time of 4:57:07, followed by Nik Adamson with 4:59:25 and Cameron Dalgleish in 5:23:04.

AURA’s Anna Pillinger was first home for the women’s 50km race, with a blistering time of 4:57:58. Rounding out the podium were Hannah McRae in 5:06:02 and Karla Bienke.

Congratulations also to AURA members Catherine Froome, Warren Ansell and Pete Sinfield for finishing the 50km event.

UPCOMING EVENTS

 Bricks Backyard Ultra in NSW starts on Saturday, 30 September, while the Australian 6 Day Ultra Marathon Festival kicks off in Adelaide on Sunday, 1 September. The GBomb Trail Run in NSW is on Monday, 2 October.
