Two Bays Trail Run, Vic
Last weekend saw the running of the Two Bays Trail Run, held between Dromana on the Port Phillip Bay side and Cape Schanck on the Bass Strait side in Victoria.
Ultra runners took on the 56km option which started on Sunday, January 13 and a 28km was also raced the same day.
AURA member Stephanie Auston from Merimbula, NSW took the gong for 1st Female as well as 2nd Overall when she crossed the finish line for the 56kms in a time of 4:37:29.
Massive high fives all around to each AURA member who tackled the distance and completed the race, including Simon Neale (4:57:10), Stephen Redfern (5:21:49), Tim Kacprzak (5:32:28), Andrew Ross (5:32:51), John Yoon (5:33:04), Justin Scholz (5:35:45), Daniel Wright (5:37:44), Gareth Calder (5:42:01), Mak Sawa (5:59:46), Bronwyn Young (6:00:25), Nicholas Egan (6:10:22), Karen Mickle (6:43:22), Prasanna Sritharan (6:44:46), Gayle Cowling (6:59:34), Sharon Scholz (7:04:23), Richard McCormick (7:11:35), John Nuttal (7:44:00), Rob Sutton (7:48:07), Shane Smedley (7:53:27) and Oliver Mestdagh (7:57:59).
The next race on the AURA calendar is this weekend’s Australia Day Ultra, to be held in Australind, WA just south of Perth on Saturday and has a number of options for runners to race in – 100kms, 75kms, 50kms and 25kms.
