Looking Ahead to Hirosaki City, Japan

The 24‑hour format tests not only physical endurance but also race craft, pacing and mental resilience. Over a full day on the course, these athletes will be competing against the best in Asia and Oceania, contributing both to individual performances and to Australia’s team standings.

In the lead‑up to May, AUTRA will work closely with the team and support staff on:

  • Training and race‑preparation planning
  • Travel and logistics
  • Uniforms and team identity
  • On‑course support and performance analytics

How You Can Support the Team

We encourage the Australian ultra and trail community to get behind the squad:

  • Share the team announcement through your own channels
  • Follow AUTRA’s updates in the lead‑up to the event
  • Send messages of support to the athletes and staff

We will profile team members over the coming months so you can get to know their stories, background performances and goals for Japan.
