WEEKLY RACE RECAP FOR 25-6-2026

As always, we're continuously on the hunt for your stories and reports, so get those race reports and photographs in to ultramag@autra.asn.au with the following information:

Word document, single spaced
Include the name of the event, the date and the location anywhere in the report (just a bullet point at the top is great)
Please attach photographs to the email – do not put images in the body of your Word doc. You’ll just get me emailing you back asking for the photos sent in the correct way!
As many photos as possible. With our new website, it’s now easier than ever to include a nice gallery in each race report
No PDFs please

And remember, it doesn’t have to be about an AUTRA-listed event specifically! You just have to be an AUTRA member for the 2026 year. Also too, if you’ve run in a non-AUTRA listed event anywhere on home soil or internationally, we’d love to include your race results and experience in our Member Updates, so please do reach out to us via email to kate.dzienis@autra.asn.au

Ultra Perth, WA

Ultra Perth was held on Saturday, 20 June along the water’s edge of the Canning and Swan rivers and offered runners distances of 50km (196 finishers), 21.1km and 10km.

Winners in the Women’s 50km were Nera Jareb (3:18:24), AUTRA member Jackie Kellerman who took 2^nd Female with a time of 3:31:10, and Lauren French (3:38:07).

Podium finishers in the Men’s 50km were Joel Gray (3:10:44), Sota Maehara (3:14:16) and Dominic Bosher (3:17:59).

Congratulations to our members who ran in the 50km, including Jude Burleigh (4:17:01), Lachlan McDonald (5:28:34), Jason Simpson (6:27:16) and Madhur Chitnis (6:57:58).

In the Women’s 21.1km, winners were Debbie Donald (1:19:49), Deirdre McPhee (1:33:43) and Sasha Johnson (1:35:48).

Winners in the Men’s 21.1km were Matt Smith (1:08:14), Ryan Greenwood (1:10:38) and Liam Kamudu (1:10:54).

In the Women’s 10km, podium spots were awarded to Rebecca Twardochleb (36:31), Allice Wicks (38:44) and Sharon Davis (42:08).

Winners in the Men’s 10km were Hayden Brooke (36:26), Paul Rowland (37:30) and Vincent Parr (38:33).

Kunanyi Trail Series – Run the Dark: Knockers Solstice, Tas

The Kunanyi Trail Series – Run the Dark: Knockers Solstice was held on Sunday, 21 June at Knocklofty Reserve in Hobart, Tas and offered participants distances of 11km, 6km and 4km.

In the Men’s 11km, top spots went to Samothy Woolfordius (43:00), Titch Hagger (43:24) and AUTRA’s Andrew Gaskell claimed 3^rd with 45:36.

In the Women’s 11km, Isabella Comfort took 1^st (55:22) while AUTRA member Melissa Robertson claimed 2^nd Female with a time of 58:02. Danielle Barbour took 3^rd (59:24).

Winners in the Men’s 6km were Billy Whitehead (28:50), Christopher Sullivan (28:50) and Nicholas Beeton (29:13).

Winners in the Women’s 6km were Kellie de Boer (37:10), Alana Kloske (37:293) and Jess McDonald (37:54).

In the Men’s 4km, the winners were Benjamin Whitehead (23:28), Jonno Minchin (25:15), Adam Minchin (26:05).

In the Women’s 4km, top spots went to Bec Clark (27:15), Lucy Reid (28:48) and Josephine Fitzgerald (29:22).
