Applications Open: 2025 IAU 50km World Championships New Delhi, India

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 IAU 50km World Championships, to be held in New Delhi on Sunday, December 7th, 2025.

In a major step forward, AUTRA has introduced marathon qualifying times as part of the pathway to selection. This allows more of Australia’s top marathoners to make the jump to the ultra stage.

Qualifying Standards:

50k

Women: A <3.30, B <3.40, C<3.50
Men: A <3.00, B<3.05, C<3.10

Marathon

Men: Sub 2:30
Women: Sub 2:55

By including marathon times, AUTRA is opening the door to a wider pool of quality athletes while raising the standard of competition. Whether you are an established 50km specialist or a marathoner ready to test yourself over the ultra distance, this is your opportunity to represent Australia on the world stage.

Applications are officially open and will close on Sunday, 31st August 8 pm. We encourage all eligible athletes to submit their intent to compete.

Together, let’s field the strongest possible Australian team for New Delhi 2025.

You’ll just get me emailing you back asking for the photos sent in the correct way! As many photos as possible. With our new website, it’s now easier than ever to include a nice gallery in each race report No PDFs please And remember, it doesn’t have to be about an AUTRA-listed event specifically! You just have to be an AUTRA member for the 2026 year. Also too, if you’ve run in a non-AUTRA listed event anywhere on home soil or internationally, we’d love to include your race results and experience in our Member Updates, so please do reach out to us via email to kate.dzienis@autra.asn.au If any corrections need to be made in any of the results listed below, please alert me via email.
