SRI CHINMOY CANBERRA TRAIL 100

The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100 was held on Sunday, 10 September, taking runners on a tour of the bush capital’s parklands, hills and political monuments. This year the race was AURA’s Long Trail National Championship course.

In the Women’s race, Allie Corripio from Kaleen in the ACT took first place in 10:42:34. She was followed by AURA members Clare Palmer (11:26:53) and Lindsay Hamilton (11:55:48).

Of the Men’s field, Warren Rolfe from Narrabeen NSW won with a time of 9:47:28, followed by Chris Wilder (10:03:16) and Jonathon Gillard (10:13:03).

Congratulations to our AURA members who raced and finished, including Mike Matthews (12:50:05), Mal Joseland (11:40:18), Nicole Siddon (13:28:19), Linda Edstrom (14:31:44), Pam Muston (13:17:31), Ross Scott (14:15:15), Mark O’Grady (16:24:27), Margriet Wooldridge (16:03:12) and Debbie Maher (15:03:26).

GV LAST MAN STANDING ULTRA

This race in northern Victoria’s Shepparton is perched on the banks of the Goulburn river. Runners started on Saturday, 9 September and continued into the following day … until there was just one left.

This year, the last man standing was Mathieu Dube, who finished 34 laps of the 6.72km course. His “assist” was AURA member David Patterson, who officially completed 33 yards.

Congratulations to our AURA members who participated. These included Cheryl Symons, reaching her 24 yard goal to be the female who lasted the longest at this year’s event, Phil RyanOliver MaassGreg PlierMelissa Debnam-Smith and Jim Taylor.

BAROSSA RUN

This race through South Australia’s picturesque Barossa Valley was held on the weekend. Runners took a 21.1km looped course that takes them through several vineyards in this iconic wine region.

 We are still awaiting official results and will update here as soon as those are available.

UPCOMING EVENTS

No Time to Die Frontyard Ultra in Adelaide will start on Friday, 15 September, while Victoria’s stunning Surfcoast Century – with events up to 100km – will start Saturday, 16 September.
