Team Manager Applications Now Open: 24 Hour World Championships, Albi France

Applications for the 24 Hour World Championships are now open

AUTRA is seeking a Team Manager to support the Australian 24 Hour Team in the lead up to and during the World Championships in Albi, France 16th - 20th October, 2025. This is a leadership role focused on organisation, communication, and creating a supportive, high-performance environment.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. This is an opportunity for coaches, former athletes, and passionate community leaders to step up and lead with purpose.

Pre-Departure Responsibilities:

You’ll be working closely with the AUTRA President and Vice President to prepare the team. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborating on all logistics and athlete communications
  • Assisting with final entry forms and official IAU requirements
  • Helping coordinate flights, uniforms, and travel plans
  • Being the main point of contact for selected athletes and crew
  • Communicating clearly and consistently across the group
  • Assisting in crew selection and preparation

 

On the Ground Role in France:

Once in Albi, the Team Manager becomes the operational heartbeat of the team:

  • Attending technical meetings and IAU briefings
  • Coordinating athlete and crew attendance at team meetings and opening and closing ceremonies
  • Overseeing crew logistics and ensuring each athlete is properly supported during the 24-hour event.
  • Acting as the link between the team and LOC officials
  • Troubleshooting issues calmly and efficiently
  • Ensuring athlete well-being is the priority at all times

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a high performance team and crew in a high pressure environment.
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Providing a fun, Athlete first environment that allows athletes to thrive.

 

Requirements

Agreement to the AUTRA Code of Conduct and Team Manager Policy.

Willingness to complete a short induction with AUTRA.
