How to contribute to Ultramag

Kate Dzienis • November 10, 2017

Thank you so much for considering a contribution to Ultramag! Without your input, your stories and your photographs, Ultramag would not be possible, and the best part about sharing is that we all get to learn everyone else’s experiences and see what Australian ultra events have to offer.

To submit an article please include the following:

  • Your article/race report in a Word document, single spaced, and no more than 1000 words.
  • Include a short 2-4 sentence biography about yourself; include full name, AURA membership number, age, suburb and state, and a brief description about running (this can be a history, why you run, your favourite races, and what your next goals are).
  • A minimum of 1 high resolution horizontal image (minimum 1mb) of yourself, preferably by a professional photographer (photo may have been purchased by yourself).
  • If there is more than one photograph, please include in your Word document a caption for each image or description of the photo, along with the photographer’s name at the top of the document.
  • The photograph must be in relation to the article submitted.
  • If permission has not been sought from the photographer, the editor may assist in seeking permission (AURA will not purchase images on your behalf and assumes all permissions have been granted once submitted to Ultramag).
  • The Word document and image/s must be attached to an email, and addressed to the editor at ultramag@aura.asn.au (images embedded into the body of an email make extraction difficult and will not be used).

Please note that all articles will be subject to editing and all contributors must be AURA members.
