You’re invited to take part in one of Australia’s most stunning and invigorating ultra running events — the LAKES Trail Festival, set in the heart of the spectacular Myall Lakes region on the Barrington Coast. This is your chance to explore coastal forests, windswept beaches, tranquil lake edges, and scenic single tracks in a region known for its raw, natural beauty.

With distances of 100km, 70km, 50km, and 30km, there's something for every trail runner — plus a 12km option for those seeking a shorter, faster challenge and a 1km kids run to get young adventurers involved. All races start and finish in Hawks Nest, with all courses taking runners to through some of the most scenic coastal outlooks in the country.

Every course has been designed to follow existing trails, lakefront paths, forest tracks, and beach stretches — immersing runners in everything that makes this part of Australia so unique.


Race weekend kicks off Friday 3 October with registration, and all racing begins Saturday 4 October 2025. Expect cool nights, warm days, and dry skies — ideal conditions for an unforgettable trail running adventure. 🌊🌿🏃‍♀️
