Welcome to a whole new way to experience Trail Run Australia — a vibrant, inclusive 24-hour trail running festival where you choose your challenge, your pace and your moment.

Set in the stunning Sunshine Coast hinterland, this unique event brings together endurance athletes, weekend warriors, families and first-timers for an unforgettable day-into-night trail running experience. At the heart of it all is the 24hr Solo Event — a format designed to reward persistence, strategy and community as much as speed.

Every hour, on the hour, runners tackle a 5km lap with 59:59mins to complete it. There are no eliminations — miss a lap, rest, refuel, then jump back in when you’re ready. The winner is the athlete who completes the most laps in the fastest overall time.

Around this centrepiece sits a full menu of course options so everyone can be part of the action:

24hr Solo – the ultimate endurance test
10hr Ultra – choose any 10 hours within the 24 to complete your laps
5hr Challenge – Sunday morning start at 7am
5km Finale – join the final lap at 11am Sunday
Solo, Pairs, Teams of 4, or Family entries – share the journey your way
Race HQ will be alive all weekend with a true festival atmosphere — food, music, stalls, support crews and a buzzing trail community cheering every lap, every comeback and every finish.
