Coombabah wetlands is part of the internationally significant Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and is registered in the Ramsar Convention on wetlands of international importance.

To keep the experience as pristine as possible, we endeavour to limit the entries, and keep the numbers as small and personal as possible.

From 2026 we will be sending one of our runners off to the IPapatowai Challenge in Otago, New Zealand. In 2026 this will include a free entry to the event on Saturday, 21 February 2026, plus accommodation (2 pax) for the weekend of the event. We are liaising with our current and future sponsors to contribute to the airfare and additional expenses. We will draw this prize from the entries of all three yearly events.
