Barkin Mad Ultra is the first of its kind in Australia and we held our first event last year in
October. The Barkin’ Mad Ultra is an inclusive ultrarunning festival that is primarily raising
funds to further support the amazing work carried out by the Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue INC
(HOTD). HOTD Charity is a Victorian based rescue that is dedicated to the rescue,
rehabilitation, and rehoming of dogs. Other reasons that this event exists includes: creating
new economies for local communities, getting more people into wild places and enhancing the
human animal bond.
The Barkin Mad Ultra Run is a run/walk event for all ages and abilities for humans and dogs.
The events on offer are as follows: 2km run/walk, 5km walk/run 10km run/walk, an 20 km and
a 50km run.
