2024 AUTRA POINTS COMPETITION — WE’RE ALMOST THERE

2024 AUTRA POINTS COMPETITION — WE’RE ALMOST THERE

Alexis Oosterhoff • December 19, 2024

As 2024 draws to a close, so too does the 2024 AUTRA Membership Points Competition

At the time of writing, there are two remaining AUTRA-listed events to be processed for the annual points competition (6 Inch & UTK50km).

Record your Volunteer Contributions

Did you volunteer at an ultra running event in 2024? If you did, THANK YOU! Without the thousands of hours volunteered each and every year, many of the events on the Australian circuit could not be held. The AUTRA Points Competition recognises
member volunteer contributions by counting each for two points, to a maximum of 20 (i.e. 10 events) – to register your volunteer contributions, please submit the form here by no later than 3 January 2025.

Check your results

Participation in ultra running continues to grow, with 2024 again showing a strong growth in participation.  This means there has been a huge amount of data to collect and process, and there will no doubt be some errors or name mis-matches in the system. To ensure accuracy of results, please take a few minutes to review your results so far.

Go to the POINTS PAGE and enter your membership number to locate your results for the year.  If you do not know your membership number, check the header of your latest Ultramag, or send an email from your registered email address to membercheck@autra.asn.au (noting that 6 inch & UTK 50km results are not yet available).

If you spot any errors, ommissions or have questions, please contact Alexis Oosterhoff via email at results@aura.asn.au

To find out more about the Points Competition, please see the FAQ and competition details here.

A provisional set of results will be available second week of January 2024, after which you should receive an email to cross-check your data.    We will announce the final winners in the second half of January.

Future of the Points Competition

As communicated by Simone Haye, AUTRA President on 17-December-2024:

We have some exciting news for Members in regards to our annual Points Competition and some changes that will take place in 2025.

From the 1st January 2025 we will be replacing the Points Competition with a monthly Members Prize draw. We feel that as fun as the points comp has been all these years, it no longer reflects or benefits the entire membership, and we feel that we need a fairer system for all members. Not everyone has the time, funds or means to race multiple races over the year, so not everyone is able to participate.

So that said, our news is that now, ALL members have the chance to benefit from this new program!

As of the 31st December the Points Comp will wind up, points will be counted and the final payout will take place.

From the 1st January, at the end of each month, a random members draw will be held and there are some great prizes to be won from our Partners! Think shoes, gear, nutrition and more, each month will be a different prize.

Its something for all members to look forward to each month and we will announce the winners here on Facebook and arrange for the prizes to posted to you.

Good luck to our members for the first draw next month!
